Great idea to live-blog... I enjoyed it.

Me too! Thanks for doing it...I was curious as to what her new spin on this topic was.

Glad you did this--I DVR'ed this show but I was wishing I could just get the main gist of her ideas because she was doing, in my opinion, a lot more motivational speaking than advice-offering. I really was just looking for a list of things I could do.

Any idea when we do qualify for the free credit reports? I use my tenant-verification service to get copies of my own, but at $20 a pop I usually only get one a year and I'd like to check all 3 of them.

    Robin,

In New Jersey, we become eligible for three free credit reports a year starting September 1.

    More info here.

Congrats on the new domain, glad to see some squatter didn't take it.

Hmm, caught a couple minutes of this a few days ago. I gonna have to TiVo it. Those pledge breaks last forever. More frequent but shorter commercial-type breaks would be more effective.

I went to a book store and checked the indexes of 5 of Orman's books. The word depreciation was not in the index of any book. Sylvia Porter's MONEY BOOK of 1975 hed depreciation listed 5 times. four of those were about depreciation of automobiles. She said you loose 50% depreciation in 3 years so why doesn't Suze bring this up in her books. She did it on her TV show. Has she been bought by the car companies?
